Vintage Future is Mark Taylor, who grew up in Flint, Michigan with an old turntable and a handful of records, and who plays in Juan Atkins' Model 500 band. He also records as Cronic Tronic.

The detour is worth telling: he served in the marines, DJed wherever he was posted, and came home wanting a life that was anything but normal. Eddie Fowlkes noticed him, which led to RJ's Latest Arrival and a first credit on EMI, then to Juan Atkins — a working relationship now past twenty years. Before all that, he was the mastermind behind MN8's 1995 single “I've Got a Little Something for You”, four million copies sold.

Metroplex, Underground Resistance, R&S, KMS, Direct Beat, Elypsia. On Metrohm he sings and produces “Superstar” with Cherisse Bradley, on volume 2. On stage in Detroit or Berlin, he says the job is to read the room and build something that moves it.
