Scan X
Stéphane Dri, alias Scan X, is one of the original pioneers of the French techno scene. His career started in 1993 with two EPs on the FNAC Music imprint.
In 1994 he released a run of EPs on Laurent Garnier and Eric Morand's F Communications, then his debut album Chroma in 1996, warmly received by the rock scene and the electronic scene alike. That is rare.
His records think and hit at the same time, which is harder than it sounds. Readers of Coda and Bassline voted him best international techno live act more than once. In 1998 he wrote music for Sony PlayStation's Ghost in the Shell.
