Tevatron
Tevatron, real name Steve Destailleur, started Metrohm Records in 2015 and still runs it. Every signing, every selection, every tracklist goes through him.
He started DJing in Lille at the end of the 1980s, one of the first in the north of France and Belgium to mix electro funk, acid house and techno in the same set. His first 12" came out in 1994 on the Lille label Peek-A-Boo Records.
Around twenty EPs since, under Steve D, Kosmik Nation, Brain Attack, Steve and Steff, OSC and Dr Noise. Drumscape EP on Re-load Records. Afro Beat on Intec, Carl Cox's label. Red Fever and Before Leaving on Recycled Loops, run by Umek and Valentino Kanzyani. Monochromatik on Eskimo Recordings, picked by Ivan Smagghe for his Death Disco compilation. He played the Rex Club and Fuse, I Love Techno and Kozzmozz.
Then he stopped. A break through the 2000s, and a return driven by one thing: the Detroit techno that had always made his heart beat faster. Metrohm came out of that return, in 2015.
His techno is rooted in Detroit: warm melancholic melodies, hypnotic analog sequences, rhythms stripped to the bone. In 2026 he pushes further with Jazz in the Machine, where the voice of Ana Chron, the AI singer the label built, drifts through the structures like a signal through circuits.
