A DJ and producer from Hartford, Connecticut, Eddie Merced works a strain of techno and house that matches driving rhythms with richly melodic machine soul. His father's freestyle records were the way in.
His sound draws on the lush synthesis pioneered in Detroit, while the urgency of his rhythm section speaks to his proximity to New York. He runs the R4808n label and has released on Upon.You, Marco Bailey's MB Elektronics and Circus Recordings.
