Fabrice Lig

Charleroi, BelgiumHigh tech funk & soulKMS Records

Born Fabrice Ligny in Charleroi in 1972, also known as Soul Designer. At fifteen, in a Belgian club, he heard Kevin Saunderson's Inner City track Big Fun and learned the next day that it was called techno.

He has been a driving force in underground house and techno since the early nineties, when Elypsia Records launched his discography through his Bug Orchestra alias. In 1998 Mike Banks of Underground Resistance picked him up for a remix of E-Dancer's Banjo on KMS. That made him the first white European artist released on a Detroit techno label.

Released on KMS, 7th City, F Communications, Raygun, Playhouse and Kanzleramt. Detroit techno soul, the spirit of jazz and soul, funk groove and eighties New York electro.
